GDROC is a 501c3, nonprofit rescue organization incorporated by the state of Virginia. We operate solely on volunteers and foster homes in the southeastern Virginia. GDROC was founded in 2005.
We are based in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area.
We adopt to families within our local region only, usually only about 90 to 100 miles of the Norfolk, VA area.
Mission Statement
Our Goal as a Great Dane rescue in the sate of Virginia is to take in, rehabilitate and rehome purebred Great Danes, who are no longer wanted, by placing them in foster care and carefully screening potential adopters to ensure that the perfect forever homes are found. In addition to rescuing Great Danes in Virginia, we aim to educate the public about the breed.
