Serena -- ADOPTION PENDING
Serena is one of 2 young female Great Danes we recently took in.
Venus and Serena are our newest addition to GDROC. They are 8 months old and were found by a good samaritan abandoned in a tennis court. We were contacted to intervene on their behalf and the girls were transferred to GDROC after fulfilling the mandatory stray hold for 10 days at a shelter in Richmond. These girls have been through a lot in their few short months and have the scars and wounds, both physical and emotional to prove it.
Serena came to the rescue with scabs, wounds, and was super skinny from being abandoned. She wouldn't even come out of a crate or walk through a doorway. In the last 2 weeks she has blossomed into a fun, loving, energetic puppy with little fears anymore. She loves playing with her foster brother, Moo who is more than twice her weight. She has gained some weight back (weighs 70 lbs). Her sores from the elements are healing, her skin and fur are shiny, and her heart is happy! Serena is potty trained, enjoys her safe space crate, walks well on a leash and is learning to sit and stay. She is now 6 months old.
Serena is doing great! She is ready for her fur-ever home and looking for her new family. She is now 6 months old and growing a lot.
Serena is still looking for her fur-ever home. She is now about 8 months old and doing well, but needs a family of her own!
